Metz Culinary Management demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship and culinary creativity by celebrating Earth Day with an innovative, eco-friendly dining experience centered around one simple idea: “Have Your Bowl and Eat It Too.”

This year’s Earth Day menu featured edible vessels — from crisp lettuce wraps to hearty pitas — designed to eliminate waste while delighting guests with bold, fresh flavors. The recipes spanned both plant-based options and traditional proteins, all crafted to highlight plentiful, locally sourced produce from Metz’s trusted vendor partners.

Guests enjoyed creative offerings such as:

  • Buffalo Falafel — a plant-powered twist on a classic favorite, packed with flavor and sustainably served in a pita (pictured above)
  • Raspberry SrirachaBrisket Burnt End Lettuce Wraps with Asian Lime Slaw — a mouthwatering fusion of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors, wrapped in crispy lettuce

“At Metz Culinary Management, sustainability is baked into everything we do — from sourcing ingredients responsibly to designing menus that minimize waste,” said Maureen Metz, Executive Vice President at Metz Culinary Management. “Our Earth Day celebration is a fun and flavorful reminder that small choices, like an edible bowl, can have a big impact.”

Metz’s Earth Day initiative reflects the company’s broader commitment to culinary excellence, environmental responsibility, and community partnerships that nourish both people and the planet.
